Merlot is an international grape variety with deep flavours reminiscent of sour cherry, raspberry, and its velvety structure makes Merlot the favourite of many winelovers. An ideal wine for the first date, we cannot make a mistake with this choice! Teleki Villányi Merlot has intensive nose full of ripened, elegant cherry, sour cherry and raspberry. Lusciously full bodied and thanks to its vivid acidity this wine is not clumsy at all. The palate is also abundant with red berry fruits softened by the barrel ageing. Long, elegant finish. Wonderful with roasted pork, red meat dishes served with fruity sauce, but this Merlot is a perfect partner when sitting alone by the fireside.
